In this article, we continue the series of publications on the possibilities for improving the efficiency of the organization of the production process by introducing modern developments in the field of information technology.
One of the main tasks of digitalization is to identify hidden patterns from a huge array of data. Moreover, the completeness and reliability of the data obtained, which should be at the level of 99.5 - 99.9%, is critical.
For the purpose of generating data, the quality of which will allow us to have a complete and reliable information base for making management decisions, the network infrastructure should ensure their continuous and uninterrupted collection from each automatic process control system (hereinafter - ACS TP) that is involved in the technological chain. Only 15-20% of the automatic process control software has its own archive, data from which can be obtained for a certain period of time. Most of the software, including glass-forming machines and inspection equipment, does not have its own data archives or they are available in a form that does not allow them to be used to analyze the movement of raw materials, accounting for manufactured products and losses on the conveyor, etc. They can be obtained only by reading and writing to a third-party database at the time of their generation using specialized network infrastructure and software. Using standard approaches and methods in the construction of network infrastructure, it is possible to provide only 90-95% of the completeness of data over a long distance, for example, a year. Moreover, in separate short periods of time - a day or a week, the completeness of the data may be at the level of only 70-80%. Obviously, with such completeness of the data, it is very difficult to identify bottlenecks in the production process. In addition, one cannot exclude anyone's intentional impact on the data and information stored in the memory of the automatic process control system, impact on the network infrastructure used to transmit data at certain time intervals, for example, on weekends or holidays.

The developed solution — the “Conveyor” software and hardware complex — completely excludes time intervals when data from production equipment is not collected due to malfunctions in the local network, routers, data storage and processing servers, or automatic process control software.
