The construction of the Tugan Mining and Processing Plant (JSC TGOK Ilmenite) in the Tomsk Region has reached the final stage

The project is co-financed by the ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. (Mining Division of Rosatom State Corporation). The construction and installation work of the main production buildings has been completed, and the installation of technological and engineering equipment is in progress. A transformer substation was put into operation, preparations are underway for the launch of the boiler house. The buildings of the thickening and filtration section, the mineral separation workshop, the quartz sand workshop, a pumping station, an administrative building and other facilities have been erected. The total area of buildings and structures is 10 thousand square meters.

Installation of the entire technological chain of equipment has begun in the shops. These are a belt feeder for feeding raw materials, a crusher, a scrubber for separating clay, screens for separating fractions, drying ovens, equipment for magnetic and electrostatic separation, filling and other equipment. An important component of the project is the treatment facilities located directly at the Yuzhno-Aleksandrovsky area of the Tugan deposit. "All equipment is modern, highly efficient and, which is very important, meets the most stringent environmental requirements. The environmental impact will be minimal, which is why the project was supported by local residents at public hearings," says Alexander Sitnikov, project manager from ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.

Tuganskiy GOK "Ilmenite" will be the first full-scale production in the direction of rare and rare-earth metals within the framework of the roadmap of the Russian Federation "Technologies of new materials and substances". The processing capacity will ensure stability, safety and uninterrupted supply of strategically important concentrates - zirconium, titanium and rutile-leucoxene for the needs of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and other large Russian enterprises. Also JSC "TGOK" Ilmenite "plans to produce a large amount of glass and fractionated sands.

Financing of the project with a limit of over 500 million rubles. is run by United Uranium Enterprises LLC (OUP LLC, part of the ARMZ Uranium Holding Company). This allows OUP LLC to receive a 25% stake in TGOK Ilmenit JSC, with the right to further increase the share. "The support of Rosatom State Corporation allows us to expect that the enterprise will become the most modern in terms of equipment, the most advanced in terms of technology and will start working in accordance with the agreed construction schedule in the IV quarter of 2021 ", - said Andrey Kabanov, General Director of JSC TGOK Ilmenit. Currently, within the framework of the first stage of construction, the Yuzhno-Aleksandrovsky area of the Tugan field is being developed, and a GOK is being built to process 575 thousand tons of ore sands per year In case of confirmation of demand for products, it is possible to create additional stages within the framework of the development of the Kuskovo-Shiryaevsky area in order to increase the production capacity to 6.9 million tons of ore sands per year.
