Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov launched a new plant in Shymkent

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov took part in the launch ceremony of a plant for the processing and production of sheet glass structures in Shymkent.

The enterprise with a capacity of about 800 thousand m2 of glass structures per year received state support for 3.4 billion tenge under the program "Economy of Simple Things". The plant has modern European equipment, and raw materials for it are supplied from the Kyzylorda region (Orda Glass Ltd).

It is expected that the new enterprise will send products not only to the domestic market, but also for export, including to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

In his speech, Alikhan Smailov noted that the number of competitive industries in the republic is growing every year.

- “The state provides them with all possible support, thanks to which new jobs are created and the well-being of our citizens is increased,” he said.

The total investment cost of the new plant is 5.8 billion tenge. Thanks to its launch, over 260 people will be provided with employment.

- “In general, his activities will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of not only the region, but the entire country. I congratulate you on the opening of the enterprise! I wish you fruitful work!” the Prime Minister concluded.
