Tyumen manufacturer of glass containers will increase production up to 20%

The production output at the Steklotech plant will increase up to 20% after the modernization of equipment at the industrial site in the Tyumen region. Now it produces almost 27 million bottles per month. The planned growth is associated with the modernization of some of the key equipment.

Representatives of the plant told about this to journalists of the regional media during a press tour dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Tyumen region.

"We will make a cold repair of the number one glass melting furnace, it will begin in the second half of June. Also, one of the lines will be switched to a three-drop mode. If now such a ten-section machine in a two-drop mode produces 200 bottles per minute, then in a three-drop mode - already up to 240", - Vladislav Tsoi, head of the glass container production shop, explained to the Tyumenskaya Line correspondent.

As General Director of the Steklotech plant Elena Ostryagina noted, despite the difficult last year and the departure of foreign brands from the market, the company managed to work steadily and attract new domestic customers.

"The glass market is very competitive. Last year there were refusals for some imported assortment. Some foreign brands left. These were large volumes, but local manufacturers came to us. And by the end of the year, we remained at the same indicators as planned," - emphasized the leader.

She also said that the products are supplied to several regions of the country, as well as to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The largest customers of glass containers in the Tyumen region are the Ishim distillery and the Benat company. Also, milk bottles will soon be produced at the factory.

It should be noted that the production of glass containers at the Steklotekh plant in the village of Bogandinsky began 12 years ago. 700 bottles are produced per minute, and the production capacity is designed for 300 million glass containers per year. Specialties unique for the Tyumen region are taught in their own training center. The company employs 380 people.
