Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Meeting on the development of the Separate Collection Program for Recyclables

On July 2, 2024, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia (hereinafter referred to as SSR) held an interdepartmental meeting on the development of a Program for the separate collection of secondary raw materials.

The meeting was chaired by Viktor Osipov, President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia.

The meeting was attended by the heads of specialized services of the SSR, the Interregional Industrial Corporation "ECORECYCLING", and the annual public award "Regions - Sustainable Development".

Draft regulatory documents for the Government of the Russian Federation were considered with proposals, within the framework of cooperation between the state and business, to build a system for collecting recycled glass for re-melting at glass factories.

The meeting participants are convinced that the state, together with business, will be able to cope with the organization of separate collection.

Also, the meeting participants studied in detail all the details of the “goal tree” model.

Currently, the departments interested in solving the problem have begun the phased implementation of this Program.

Viktor Osipov in his speech expressed the opinion that, despite the fact that this problem had not been solved for many years, the proposed “matrix” will allow, together with the Government of the Russian Federation, relevant supervisory services, and interested related industry associations, to finally solve a complex problem.

Scheduled consultations on the implementation of the proposed regulatory package will be held in the State Duma, ministries and supervisory departments.
