Federal State Autonomous Institution Research Institute TsEPP and Microelectronic Technologies Plant held a working meeting in Moscow

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about the member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, LLC "Plant of Microelectronic Technologies":

The accelerated development of the Russian glass industry today is the number 1 goal for all companies and enterprises involved in the industry. This is due to the fact that after 2022, the traditional technological chains of Russian glass factories were under strong pressure, suppliers of raw materials, components and equipment from the USA and the European Union limited work with our country.

In such a reality, the need for consolidated efforts of Russian enterprises operating in the glass industry to develop new technologies, equipment, and component samples for efficient and uninterrupted operation comes to the fore.

Within the framework of this paradigm, on July 31, ZMT LLC held a working meeting in Moscow with the management of the Federal State Autonomous Institution "Research Institute "Center for Environmental and Industrial Policy". The center, created by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, is aimed at ensuring the development of the real sector of the economy using methods of rational use of resources, the formation of mechanisms for organizing the transition of domestic industry to the principles of the best available technologies (BAT). FGAU Research Institute "CEPP" is actively working with the glass industry, for example, there are joint technology projects with glass enterprises of the Vladimir region.

During the meeting, the Director of ZMT LLC Vershinin S.N. spoke about the new developments of the enterprise in the field of developing inspection machines for quality control of glass packaging (Laboratory type inspection machine MILT-1, Inspection machines for quality control of glass containers MIT-1, MIVD-1, Multifunctional inspection machine MIM-1). These developments should eventually replace the inspection machines at glass factories that were previously supplied from France, Germany, and the USA. It was noted that the inspection machines produced in Izhevsk will use AI algorithms in their work.

In turn, Deputy Head of Department of the Federal State Autonomous Institution Research Institute "TsEPP" Mikhailidi D.Kh. highly appreciated the possible potential for cooperation with the "Microelectronic Technologies Plant" in the following promising areas:

1. Involvement of specialists from the "Center for Environmental and Industrial Policy" as technology experts to interact with the Chief Designer of LLC "ZMT" in the field of development of design documentation.

2. Conducting a number of seminars by experts from the Federal State Autonomous Institution "Research Institute "TsEPP" for designers of the "Microelectronic Technologies Plant" on the topics of AI, PLC programming, etc.

3. Involvement of scientific representatives of the Moscow State Technical University of Radio Engineering, Electronics and Automation (MSTU MIREA) in developments for the glass industry.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of LLC "ZMT" and the Federal State Autonomous Institution "Research Institute "TsEPP" noted that only systematic coordinated work can yield results in the form of the appearance of new models of equipment for glass factories in Russia.
