October 2024. Production of building materials continues to increase

In October 2024, the production of building materials in monetary terms increased by 9.1% compared to October 2023 (there was a greater increase only in February 2024 - 9.3% compared to February 2023). For the period from January to October 2024, the increase was 5.3% in comparable prices.

The overall growth in the production of building materials in physical terms in January-October 2024 compared to the same period last year is 2-5% in most positions - for example, cement, ceramic bricks, glass, concrete, plywood and others. But there are also drawdowns in individual materials: sand-lime brick, natural sand, granules, chips and powder, pebbles, gravel.

Positive dynamics were shown by 15 materials, including:

• plus 3.2% – thermally polished sheet glass and sheet glass with a matte or polished surface, but not processed in another way;

Reduction in output from 20% to 30% in the production of 1 material:

• minus 27.9% – cast, rolled, drawn or blown sheet glass.
