The Perm enterprise, with the support of the Federal Investment Fund, will open the production of molds for the glass industry

The Perm company Meridian LLC received a preferential loan from the Industrial Development Fund (IDF) of the Russian Federation to produce molds for the production of glass containers to replace imported ones. The volume of investments in the project will amount to about 350 million rubles, of which more than 305 million will be provided by the Federal Investment Fund of the Russian Federation. By the end of 2026, the company will create 50 new high-performance jobs. This was reported in the Regional FRP of the Perm Territory.

As part of the investment project, Meridian will build a new metalworking workshop and equip it with high-tech equipment. The molds will be made from high-alloy cast iron and used to produce glass bottles of various shapes and configurations. The company’s specialists have already fully developed the production technology, and deliveries of the necessary equipment are now beginning.

The director of the company, Vladilen Delidov, noted that the implementation of the investment project will reduce the dependence of domestic glass container manufacturers on import supplies, satisfy consumer demands, and increase the technological level of the company and the region. “Today, about 90% of molds are supplied from abroad, so the project is of an import-substituting nature,” he added.

Governor of the Perm Territory Dmitry Makhonin has repeatedly emphasized that the support mechanisms offered to enterprises by the federal and regional industrial development funds are in demand by companies in the Kama region. "IDF loans are an effective mechanism for strengthening the economy, creating new jobs and increasing revenues to the regional budget. Perm industry has enormous potential for growth, and in the context of sanctions imposed against Russia, the demand for our technologies and solutions is increasing. This opens up good prospects for the development of the enterprises themselves and for stabilizing the socio-economic situation in the region,” said the head of the Kama region.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Perm Territory, in 2023, the Industrial Development Fund of the Russian Federation and the Regional Development Fund approved 15 projects of industrialists of the Kama region for a total amount of 6.7 billion rubles. In 2024, it is planned to attract 7 billion rubles. for 22 investment projects of enterprises in the Perm region.
