II decade, January 2024. Dynamics of the market for railway glass shipments

Shipments of glass by rail to the Russian market (domestic deliveries + imports) in the second decade of January 2024 showed positive dynamics relative to the same period last year - plus 9.4%.

Over 20 days of January 2024, glass shipments by rail to the Russian market reached 2.1 million square meters. m, which is 34.9% more than for the same period in 2023.

Decrease in glass supplies by rail for the period from January 1 to January 20, 2024 in two districts of the Russian Federation:

• Far Eastern Federal District -72.7%;

• Ural Federal District -11.6%.

Consumption of glass delivered by rail for the period from January 1 to January 20, 2024 increased in the following districts of the Russian Federation:

• Volga Federal District +237.5%;

• Northwestern Federal District +176.5%;

• Southern Federal District +46.3%;

• Siberian Federal District +38.3%;

• Central Federal District +11.3%;

• North Caucasian Federal District +2.2%.

The share of railway glass supplies to the Russian market in total consumption in 2023 was ~21.7%.
