The Belarusian government has set the order volume for glass waste for 2026

The government has set the order volume for 2026 for the supply of glass waste for state needs. The corresponding Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, No. 225, dated May 6, 2026, "On the order for the supply (procurement, delivery) of cullet in 2026 for national state needs," was signed by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin.

The document was developed to streamline the circulation of glass container waste generated in the country, as well as to ensure the regular supply of such waste to Belarusian glass container manufacturers through procurement organizations.

The resolution establishes a state order for the supply (procurement, delivery) of 105,270 tons of glass waste for national state needs in 2026 (by region of the Republic of Belarus). It also designates two organizations with technological equipment for glass waste processing—OAO Belresursy, the managing company of the Belresursy holding company, and OAO Grodno Glass Factory—as state customers.

The state order is being formed based on proposals submitted by domestic glass container manufacturers, as well as taking into account the implementation of the State Program "Comfortable Housing and a Favorable Environment" for 2026-2030, approved by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 818 of December 31, 2025.

The resolution will provide domestic glass container manufacturers with glass waste used in their production operations to reduce the cost of their products and increase their competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets.
