The production of soft-coated flat glass at the Salavatsteklo Kaspiy plant, located in the Kumtorkalinsky District of Dagestan, is set to reach full capacity by 2027, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Dagestan.
A technical launch of the facility took place in May 2026. The project, which has been underway since 2024, is being implemented at an existing float glass manufacturing plant—operational since 2013—that has a daily capacity of 600 tons. The project is spearheaded by Salavatsteklo Kaspiy LLC.
"The primary capital investment involves a production line for applying coatings via vacuum deposition, with a capacity of up to 12 million square meters per year. The project aims to expand the product range by introducing energy-efficient glass types that offer high added value and export potential," the Ministry stated.
The total investment amounts to 2 billion rubles, consisting of 1.1 billion rubles in the company’s own funds and 940 million rubles in borrowed capital. To date, 1.9 billion rubles have been utilized, leaving 149 million rubles yet to be invested.
The project has resulted in the creation of 34 new jobs, all of which are now filled. The facility, which spans an area of 50 hectares, is a resident of the Tyube Industrial Park.
