A-Steklo LLC glass factory in Perm Krai will launch a new production of tempered flat glass. A preferential loan for the project was provided by the Industrial Development Fund of the Russian Federation and the Regional Industrial Fund (RIF) of Perm Krai, the regional government reported.
The enterprise specializes in the production of double-glazed windows for the facades of shopping centers, residential buildings, industrial facilities and administrative buildings, as well as medical and educational institutions. Dmitry Makhonin, the head of the region, paid a working visit to the enterprise. According to him, the new workshop and new manufacturing technology will cover the need for high-quality safety glass, which previously had to be purchased abroad.
A wide range of tempered colorless glass, mass-tinted glass, as well as glass with low-emission, multifunctional and sun-protection coatings with a thickness of 4 to 12 mm will be produced at the new site. The company noted that in the regions closest to the Perm Territory, there is a shortage of such products and a high dependence on imports remains.
“Modern glazing trends lead to the fact that glass is becoming larger and larger, which automatically requires safety. It is provided by tempered glass. The new production provides increased quality of glass in case of its breakage - this is a small fraction, it protects against serious damage,” said Artem Khaidarov, a representative of the group of partners of the plants.
The project budget is 65 million rubles, 18.7 million of which were provided by the Industrial Development Fund of the Russian Federation, and 12.4 million by the Regional FRP of the Perm Territory. With this money, the company will purchase, install and commission the necessary equipment: a glass tempering furnace, a CNC edge grinding center, a horizontal washing machine for mechanical washing and drying of sheet glass, etc. The investment project will create 15 new jobs.
According to the regional Ministry of Industry and Trade, last year the Russian Industrial Development Fund and the regional FRP financed 16 projects of industrial enterprises in the Perm region for a total loan amount of 4.8 billion rubles.
