Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Scheduled meeting on improving the education system in higher and secondary educational institutions of the Russian Federation

On March 09, 2023, the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia held a scheduled meeting on improving the education system in higher and secondary educational institutions of the Russian Federation that train specialists for the glass industry.

At the same time, problematic topics on special and additional professional education were considered.

Viktor Ivanovich Osipov, President of the Association, reported on the state of this area of work of StekloSouz. In particular, he said that work on training specialists is being carried out with universities and secondary educational institutions on an ongoing basis as part of a program to provide plants with young specialists. Systematic work is being carried out with the rectors of advanced educational institutions. In 2023, at the International Forum "Glass and Modern Technologies - XXI", decisions were made to improve the interaction between "StekloSouz" and heads of educational institutions.

The decision of the industry organization to be directly involved in the preparation of training programs was made.

In December 2022, on the basis of GAPOU VO Gusev Glass College named after G.F. Chekhlov, an extended meeting was held with the participation of the rector of the FGBOU VO RKhTU im. DI. Ilya Vladimirovich Vorotyntsev Mendeleev, First Vice-Rector of BSTU named after A.I. V.G. Shukhov Evtushenko Yevgeny Ivanovich, vice-rectors of the Vladimir State University. A. G. and N. G. Stoletovs (VlGU), heads of glass departments of other institutes.

The participants of the meeting approved the StekloSoyuz initiative to jointly improve the education system in higher and secondary educational institutions of the Russian Federation by the Association and glass factories.

Decisions were made, including on the development of special and additional professional education on the basis of GAPOU VO GSK.

At present, universities, together with the Scientific and Technical Center at the Association "StekloSoyuz" of Russia (STC SSR), have begun to implement the decisions of the planned meetings.

Osipov Viktor Ivanovich said that there is complete confidence that the approved program will work not only on the basis of universities, but also on the basis of three secondary specialized institutions. A new approach to the system of education and training of specialists will improve the situation with personnel in the industry.

Korshunova Lyudmila Fedorovna, head of the STC SSR, was instructed to organize this work with the research institutes and quarterly review the results of the work done before the implementation of the approved plans.
