Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Scheduled meeting of heads of departments and glass factories. 07 April 2021

On April 7, 2021, a scheduled meeting of the heads of departments and glass factories was held at the "StekloSouz" Association of Russia.

The work program provided for the consideration of issues related to the implementation of the Concept for improving the institution of extended responsibility of manufacturers and importers of goods and packaging.

As you know, this document was approved by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation V.V. Abramchenko on December 21, 2020.

Currently, a lot of work is underway to prepare a roadmap for the implementation of the Concept.

Industry experts have prepared a number of proposals for inclusion in the roadmap. A discussion unfolded on important problematic issues:

- "Who is considered to be a recycler of secondary raw materials?" Within the framework of the Concept, glass factories consider and make calculations for taking over the functions of a utilizer.

- Calculation of rates, the procedure for collecting the amounts of the environmental fee. The order of the information system.

- Stimulation of glass factories to increase the volume of cullet in re-smelting. Based on the results of consideration of this issue, calculations will be prepared, which "StekloSoyuz" of Russia will send to the Government of the Russian Federation and the responsible ministries and departments.

Other internal solutions were also adopted to improve the collection of cullet to the parameters set by the state.

Specialists from related industries were invited to the meeting, who will take part in joint work to solve these problems.

The meeting was chaired by Viktor Osipov, President of the "StekloSouz" Association of Russia.
