Association «StekloSouz» of Russia. Meeting on the violation of Russian anti-dumping legislation by certain holdings

On April 5, 2021, a meeting was held at the StekloSoyuz Association of Russia (hereinafter SSR) on the violation of Russian anti-dumping legislation by certain holdings.

The reason for this agenda of the meeting was the appeals to the SSR of a number of factories to establish these facts.

The participants of the meeting noted in their reports that internal and external dumping causes significant harm to glass enterprises and is capable of “squeezing out” individual factories from the glass market.

As you know, the negative consequences of dumping include a decrease in sales and capacity utilization, a drop in revenue and profitability, and a decrease in the share of glass products in the domestic market of domestic enterprises.

During the discussion, the directors of the SSR departments were instructed to prepare analytical material for the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia).

The event was chaired by Viktor Osipov, President of the StekloSouz Association of Russia. In his speech, he said that anti-dumping measures remain, in fact, the only mechanism that must be used for the harmonious and competitive development of the market.

To eliminate unfair competition, the material will be drawn up in accordance with the current legislation and sent to the FAS Russia.
