Work continues within the framework of the implementation of the decision of the Presidium of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia on the issue of providing glass factories with high-quality raw materials and the creation of the Scientific and Technical Center "Center for Research of Mineral Raw Materials" on the basis of the Association.

For the effective and comprehensive use of the mineral resource base of any enterprise, it is necessary to study mineral raw materials. To solve this problem, the StekloSouz presidium selected the Mineral Resources Research Center (CIMS) of Koralina Engineering JSC.

JSC "Koralina Engineering" is a member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia and during the cooperation has established itself only on the positive side. Coraline Engineering is a reliable and responsible partner with the necessary experience, technical equipment and competent specialists in the field of mineral raw materials research.


Koralina Engineering has been actively working in the market of mining and processing equipment and technologies in Russia and the CIS countries since 1991. The company works in various areas of processing natural and man-made raw materials, is engaged in technological audits, modernization of existing and design of new enterprises in the industry, development of turnkey projects, automation, as well as the supply of industrial equipment.

Over the years, the company has gained unique experience in the field of enrichment of ore and nonmetallic raw materials, placers, quartz sands and glass batch components, coal and metallurgical slags, which allows taking into account not only the general trends of the industry, but also finding individual solutions for each client's requests and offering optimal solutions that ensure the maximum effect from the implementation of the appropriate technology and equipment.

The basis of any new project for the development of various deposits or the modernization of existing enterprises of the metallurgical industry is an integrated approach to the study of the material composition and assessment of the washability of processed mineral raw materials. Based on the data obtained, technologies for complex processing are being developed with the issuance of initial data (Regulations) for a feasibility study of temporary or permanent conditions with an estimate of reserves, or for a feasibility study for the design and construction (reconstruction) of enrichment plants and enterprises of the metallurgical industry in general.

To solve the set tasks for studying the material composition and assessing the washability of natural and technogenic raw materials, in 2007 our company designed and built the Center for Research of Mineral Raw Materials (CIMS), which continues to expand with new areas to implement new directions in the field of mineral processing. and technogenic raw materials.

The center is equipped with modern equipment for studying the material composition and various technological equipment for laboratory and semi-industrial technological tests, which is identical to industrial equipment, such as: ore preparation (crushing, grinding, classification), main (gravity, magnetic, electrostatic and flotation). Also, for completeness of assessing the effectiveness of technological schemes, in addition to using enrichment methods using the main technological equipment, it is necessary to carry out testing and auxiliary processes for this, our center is equipped with various auxiliary equipment for dehydration of the final products of the technological conversion, represented by installations for modeling thickening processes, press filtration and vacuum filtration.

Recently, on the basis of CIMS, the following work has been carried out to develop enrichment technology:

- quartz glass sands, molding and building sands in order to obtain high-quality concentrates for the glass, metallurgical and construction industries;

- improving the quality of high-purity fine-grained quartz sands by methods of dry high-gradient separation, wet scrubbing and gravity separation;

- titanium-zirconium sands using a combined technology in order to obtain conditioned concentrates of ilmenite, rutile, zircon, phosphorites and glauconite;

- diatomite by the method of wet high-gradient magnetic separation and separation in hydrocyclones in order to obtain high-quality filtering and sorption material;

- feldspar using classification, wet high-gradient separation, gravity separation in pressure hydrocyclone and further vacuum filtration on belt vacuum filters;

- development of a technology for enrichment of nepheline ores by the method of reverse flotation and development of a Regulation for a feasibility study of temporary conditions;

- beneficiation of phosphorite ores using classification, scrubbing, gravity separation in pressure hydrocyclone and further filtration and thickening;

- development of a new storage method using closed geomembrane shells (technotubes).

In conclusion, it can be noted that all pre-design work on the study of washability and the development of complex rational technologies for any raw material, allow taking into account the characteristics of the materials and with sufficient accuracy to predict the effect of the introduction of one or another equipment. This allows our company to reach a fundamentally new level in providing the entire range of services from studying the material composition of raw materials, developing technology and regulations to designing and supplying all the necessary equipment. From the time of its foundation to the present day, the company has implemented over 300 projects in Russia and the CIS countries.
