Dagestan companies won the regional stage of the «Exporter of the Year» competition in the North Caucasus Federal District

Two companies from Dagestan became winners of the regional stage of the All-Russian Exporter of the Year award in the North Caucasian Federal District. The ceremony of awarding the winners took place yesterday in Stavropol. The winner in the category "Exporter of the Year in the Industry" in the category "Small and Medium Enterprises" and in the category "Breakthrough of the Year" was won by the Research and Production Complex "NIVA GREENHOUSES".

The victory in the category "Exporter of the Year in the Industry" in the category of big business went to the JSC "Caspian Sheet Glass Plant". Note that the annual “Exporter of the Year” award is awarded to companies that have achieved the greatest success in developing economic ties with other countries in the export of non-primary non-energy goods. The founder of the award is the Russian Export Center. The guests of the event were Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Stavropol Territory Nikolai Afanasov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Stavropol Territory Suzanna Damir, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC ROSEKSIMBANK Tatyana Sakharova and Deputy Director of the Department for Export Development of Agricultural Products of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Evgeny Pakhomov.

The ceremony was also attended by the head of the Export Support Center of the Republic of Dagestan Ruslan Abaskuliev. He made a welcoming speech: “The head of Dagestan, Vladimir Vasiliev, stressed that the export of regional products during the pandemic allowed maintaining the pace of sustainable economic development. As for the export of products, Dagestan has quite large reserves. For example, the production of glass products and the export of these products outside the republic has doubled in comparison with the last year. Today, enterprises in this industry are already thinking about modernizing production and increasing the volume of glass products. "
