The Federal Antimonopoly Service is interested in the rise in the cost of renting wagons for the transportation of building materials

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) will analyze the information received from the shipping companies on the growth in the cost of renting cars for the transport of building materials, is ready to take action if it finds violations, the department told RIA Novosti.

"Currently, the FAS Russia is considering appeals from shipping companies related to the increase in the cost of renting wagons for the transportation of building materials ... If the FAS Russia detects violations of the antimonopoly legislation in the actions of carriers, the service will take appropriate measures," the FAS noted.

The cost of unregulated services of operators in each specific case depends on the conditions of transportation (direction, distance, additional conditions under contracts, etc.) and requires additional analysis, the department specified.
