The State Duma adopted a law on an experiment on a single tax payment for business

The State Duma adopted in the third reading the law on the extension of the single tax payment (STP) to organizations and individual entrepreneurs (IE), according to the website of the lower house of parliament. It will be introduced on an experimental basis from July 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022.

According to the law, organizations and individual entrepreneurs will have the right from July 1 to December 31, 2022 on a voluntary basis to pay taxes, advance payments, fees (except for the state duty, in respect of which the court has not issued an executive document), insurance premiums, penalties, fines and interest single tax payment.

The EPP mechanism will be able to use those organizations and individual entrepreneurs that have carried out a reconciliation of calculations with the tax authorities on taxes, fees, insurance premiums, penalties, fines, interest, according to the results of which there is no disagreement. Moreover, they will be required to notify the tax authority of the calculated amounts of taxes and other payments no later than five days before the due date for their payment.

It is assumed that the law will contribute to the formation of a single balance of settlements between the payer and the budget (single tax account) and will allow avoiding excessive accrual of penalties and unnecessary collection procedures, in fact leading these procedures to the use of a single amount reflecting the result of settlements between the budgets of the budgetary system of the Russian Federation and the payer.

"The implementation of the provisions of the document will create more comfortable conditions for payers to fulfill the obligation to pay obligatory payments, reduce the costs of entities involved in settlement and cash transactions, and the time for processing settlement documents, and will also provide a clear and simple state of settlements between the payer and the budget", - said in the explanatory note.
