The Grodno glass factory is building a production facility for processing broken glass

This year, a new project for processing cullet will be implemented at the branch of the Grodno Glass Factory in the village of Elizovo. The general director of the management company of the Belarusian Glass Company holding, Yuri Skripko, told reporters about this before a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture on the results of 2023.

“Last year, on the basis of JSC Grodno Glass Factory, we implemented a project that was significant for the country - we built a plant that will produce more than 240 million pieces of glass containers per year, including the production of lightweight glass bottles. This is a new production of glass containers with a capacity of 220 tons of glass melt per day. The implementation of the project will meet the needs of Belarus,” said Yuri Skripko.

The general director emphasized: the glass company does not stop there. “We will develop further. Now we are implementing another project: we are increasing the depth of processing of raw materials at the branch of the Grodno Glass Factory in Yelizovo. There we are building a production facility for processing cullet. Thus, we bring secondary resources into circulation,” he said.

The glass industry is developing dynamically. This applies to both large enterprises, for example, Gomelsteklo, and small ones producing medical glass. “The Neman glass factory, for example, last year showed the best operating results over the past 10 years. And the Belarusian Glass Company itself, as a coordinator, works successfully in the current difficult conditions. “Everything is working out for us,” concluded Yuri Skripko.
