I decade, April 2024. Dynamics of the market for railway glass shipments

According to preliminary estimates, the shipment of glass by rail to the Russian market (domestic supplies + imports) in the first ten days of April 2024 continued to show positive dynamics relative to the same period last year – plus 9.0%.

For the period from the beginning of the year to April 10, 2024, glass shipments by rail to the Russian market amounted to 11.7 million square meters. m, which is 35.6% more than for the same period in 2023.

Consumption of glass delivered by rail for the period from January 1 to April 10, 2024 increased in the following districts of the Russian Federation (in parentheses - dynamics for the period from the beginning of the year to March 31, 2024):

• Volga Federal District +172.6% (previously +222.7%);

• Far Eastern Federal District +100.5% (previously +90.4%);

• Northwestern Federal District +37.3% (previously +19.2%);

• Siberian Federal District +31.1% (previously +41.1%);

• Ural Federal District +26.8% (previously +19.1%);

• North Caucasian Federal District +21.2% (previously +34.7%).

A decrease in the supply of glass by rail for the period from January 1 to April 10, 2024 was recorded in two districts of the Russian Federation (in brackets are the dynamics for the period from the beginning of the year to March 31, 2024):

• Southern Federal District -27.0% (previously -31.9%);

• Central Federal District -20.4% (previously -23.4%).

The share of railway glass supplies to the Russian market in total consumption for two months of 2024 amounted to ~21%.
