Cabinet compensates developers for prices for building materials

The government will compensate prices for building materials for developers, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. Earlier, Rosstat recorded a significant increase in prices for these goods.

“The situation with prices for building materials is very difficult, but from the good news I can say that at the government level it has been decided that we will pay for the rise in prices for building materials. We will try to compensate, ”Mr. Khusnullin told reporters (quoted by RIA Novosti).

Earlier, Rosstat reported that in June construction materials rose by 6.7%. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) then instructed the territorial offices to check the manufacturers of concrete, brick, wood materials and PVC products and find out the reasons for the price increase.

Against the background of the rise in the cost of building materials, the Ministry of Economy proposed to support contractors for state orders, providing for the mandatory conduct of an electronic tender for contracts with an initial value of more than 10 million rubles from 2022.
