From November 1, 2021, a new fundamental GOST 23166-2021 "Window and balcony translucent fencing structures. General technical conditions" will come into force, which was approved by Rosstandart order of May 19, 2021 N 398-st. GOST 23166-2021 is put into effect on the territory of the Russian Federation from November 1, 2021 to replace: GOST 23166-99, GOST 4.215-81, GOST 4.226-83. The new standard is the basis for the creation of a number of regulatory documents that are important for the construction industry in Russia in terms of achieving the goals and priorities of the Roadmap for the development of technical regulation and the Federal Law "On the Safety of Buildings and Structures".

On November 19, 2021, a scientific and practical conference "Translucent window and balcony constructions" dedicated to GOST 23166-2021 will take place in the building of the Moscow Government. Organizers - ANO "National Agency for Architecture and Urban Planning" and the company "VEKA Rus".

On behalf of the "StekloSouz" Association of Russia, President Osipov Viktor Ivanovich will take part in the conference.

The conference is intended to reinforce the initiated initiatives and offer the professional community ideas and examples of new trends in the architectural design of multi-storey residential buildings. The issues of the practice of designing modern translucent structures, the current state of the industry regulatory framework and the need for its radical modernization will be touched upon. The heads of leading design organizations, as well as representatives of the development, construction, expert community will share with the conference participants their experience in the field of architectural design of translucent structures, in a lively discussion format, they will discuss the problems of ensuring their reliability and operational safety.

The resolution prepared as a result of the event will be sent to the legislative and executive authorities.

The conference will take place on November 19, 2021 from 10:00 to 14:00 at the address: Moscow, st. Novy Arbat, 36, conference hall in the building "Moscow Government", sector B.
