Scientists from NTU Singapore have found a way to use recycled glass waste instead of sand in 3D printing, according to Nanyang Technological University.
This technology was first demonstrated by printing a concrete bench made from concrete mixed with recycled glass. NTU researchers have shown that glass can replace sand in 3D printing without changing the quality of the printed object.
NTU is currently partnering with a Singaporean start-up company to sponsor the printing of new glass objects.
