Salavatstekl's profit tripled

Salavatsteklo JSC published its report for the first half of 2021. The cost of production of the enterprise increased by 45%, and the profit - three times.

The company's revenue for six months of 2021 amounted to 10.8 billion rubles against 5.68 billion last year. At the same time, the cost of production increased slightly - from 3.3 billion to 4.8 billion rubles. Accordingly, the profit also increased - from 1.25 billion to 3.52 billion rubles.

Let us remind you that the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia opened a case on the glass market. Its main players are Salavatsteklo and Guardian Glass.

- The analysis showed that the price of flat glass in July 2021 compared to July 2020 increased by more than 80%. While the increase in cost was insignificant, the department said.

In September last year, the FAS approved the purchase by Salavatseklo of the bankrupt Caspian Sheet Glass Factory in Dagestan. At the peak of their production capacity in 2019, Salavatsteklo and Saratovstroisteklo, which it controls, together occupied 16% of the market, the Dagestan enterprise - 8%.

In April 2021, the transaction took place. The plant was acquired for half of the initial cost - 3.16 billion rubles. The company has established a new enterprise "Salavatsteklo Caspiy" in the village of Korkmaskala. Later, Salavatsteklo sold its production site and equipment to its Dagestan subsidiary for 3.6 billion rubles.
