The production of glass beads is being launched in Dagestan. The enterprise was opened on the basis of a glass factory in Dagestan Lights. The official launch is scheduled for early August, these days are commissioning.

The Caspian Glass enterprise in Dagestanskiye Ogni is now the only one in Russia where glass beads are produced. Since the 60s of the last century, the workshop existed in Makhachkala. It had to close a few years ago. The balls were ordered from China. Now the country needs its own production.

The plant plans to produce up to 240 tons of this raw material per year. As early as next year, production, according to the plan, will reach payback. But they say that in fact it will happen even earlier. Glass marbles will also provide 25 jobs and annually more than 12 million rubles in tax revenues to the budget.
