REO and Rosprirodnadzor will hold a seminar on the register of recyclers and new EPR rules

A joint seminar of the Russian environmental operator and the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources (Rosprirodnadzor) will take place on April 3 in Moscow. Participants will be told about working with the register of recyclers.

“Since 2024, a new extended producer responsibility (EPR) mechanism has been launched in Russia. You can cover your liability by contacting specialized companies, but now they must be included in the register of recyclers. REO is tasked with conducting on-site assessments of enterprises that wish to be included in the register. At the seminar, we will explain the work on the register and answer questions from participants,” said Denis Butsaev, General Director of REO.

The seminar will also include a presentation of key changes to the EPR system in the context of the implementation of the registry. Speakers from REO and Rosprirodnadzor will answer questions from the audience in the hall and viewers of the online broadcast.

The seminar will be moderated by Igor Zabralov, Director for Sustainable Development of REO.
