Rosstat: Prices for building materials continued to grow

Rosstat did not notice the stabilization of prices in the construction market. On the contrary, in July the rise in prices for building materials continued.

According to Rosstat, in just a month, narrow cold-rolled strip has risen in price by 19.6%, open-ended cold-formed or flexible sections of unalloyed steel - by 15.5%, zinc profiles and wire, as well as plates, sheets, strips, tape and foil - by 12.3%. In general, metallurgical products in July rose in price by 4%, since the beginning of the year - by 47.3%, and in relation to July last year - by 64.7%.

Non-metallic mineral products used in construction rose 2.7% in July. Since the beginning of the year, mineral building materials have grown in price by almost 9.2%, compared to July last year - by 10.6%.

“In the production of other non-metallic mineral products, steel prices are higher than the prices for cast, rolled, drawn or blown glass, but not processed in any other way - by 31.2%, structural and architectural elements of prefabricated reinforced concrete buildings and structures - by 8.6% , double-glazed windows - by 7.8%, rolled roofing and waterproofing materials - by 7.0%, ”the department said.

Also in the list of prices that have risen in price are edged boards (by 13.9% per month), chipboards, oriented strand boards (by 10.5%), metal tiles (by 7.4%), euro slate (by 5.6%), roofing material (by 4.9%), red brick (by 3.4%) and window glass (by 3.1%).
