"Sibsteklo" will join the industrial tourism program of the Novosibirsk region

Dear colleagues, we are publishing news about a member of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia, Siberian Glass LLC (“Sibsteklo”):

On the excursion “Cycle of glass in a factory”, developed as a result of the participation of Siberian Glass LLC (Sibsteklo, one of the largest factories producing glass containers in Russia, an asset of RATM Holding) in the Industrial Tourism Accelerator, organized by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, invited representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk Region, the tourism industry and manufacturing enterprises.

According to Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk Region Anna Pavlova, the strategy for the development of industrial tourism in the region provides for the creation of four routes, including “Glass Journey: Where Transparency Comes From,” of which Sibsteklo will become a part. Each of them is built according to the “Lavrentiev triangle” and involves visiting objects of education, science and production.

Guests were shown all the stages of container glass production: how mineral components and glass waste are processed, raw materials are loaded into a glass melting furnace, blanks are molded and glass products are blown, as well as how bottles are annealed, a protective coating is applied to them, defective ones are “shot”, and good ones are palletized.

According to the general director of Sibstekl, Anton Mora, the manufacturer of glass packaging, which creates the first impression of the contents, is simply obliged to package its tourism product - to optimally convey the meanings conveyed by the company to the target audience:

– Sibstekla has long been conducting excursions for organized groups of schoolchildren, students and environmental activists - everyone who is interested in information about the impact of enterprise operations on the environment. Thus, we realize our educational mission: we talk about the importance of using glass waste to produce containers - this process in itself is colorful and spectacular, and also introduce opportunities to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Our employees take pride in their work and are ready to share it with tourists.
