Joint meeting of the heads of services of the Association StekloSouz of Russia and the Institute of Glass

At the end of October this year, a joint meeting of the heads of the services of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia and the Institute of Glass took place.

The following issues were considered:

- the quality of glass products;

- Compliance with GOSTs, quality control.

Gorin Andrey, director of the department of flat glass and industrial processing, reported on the current state of this segment of the glass industry. I raised important issues on counterfeit glass products. I drew the attention of the meeting participants to the need to work more "closely" with consumers of glass products.

Chesnokov Alexander, head of the standardization and testing department, spoke about the frequent cases of violation of GOSTs when packing glass products, violations of glass storage conditions and, in this regard, the emergence of controversial issues. I asked for explanatory work with the heads of enterprises on packaging, storage, warehousing and transportation.

Other issues affecting the work of glass factories were also raised.

The meeting was held in the building of the Institute of Glass.

Osipov Viktor - President of the Association "StekloSouz" of Russia took part in the industry event. He agreed that it is necessary to jointly carry out systematic work with the heads of industrial glass processing enterprises.
