Sibstekl specialists were awarded for eliminating the consequences of utility accidents in Novosibirsk

Employees of Sibirskoye Steklo LLC (Sibsteklo, an asset of RATM Holding) were presented with certificates of honor and letters of gratitude from the governor of the Novosibirsk region and the Ministry of Housing, Communal Services and Energy of the region for their participation in eliminating the consequences of major accidents on heating networks in Novosibirsk, which led to the introduction of emergency mode.

Representatives of the utility sector were awarded on the eve of a professional holiday in the government of the Novosibirsk region. Deputy Governor Sergei Syomka emphasized the importance of their work and prompt assistance in starting the heating system while eliminating defects in heating networks.

Let us recall that the accidents that occurred in Novosibirsk in January 2023 left hundreds of apartment buildings on the left bank without heat and hot water.

“We formed two units consisting of specialists from the services of the chief power engineer and the chief engineer, and worked on weekends, sometimes until four o’clock in the morning,” says Mikhail Potapenko, chief power engineer at Sibstekla. “We were given a difficult site - wooden two-story barracks in the Leninsky district, some of them must be demolished. Some of the residents had already left there for good, others temporarily moved in with relatives, some families remained, including with children, but there was ice on the floor and the wiring was shorted out... Taking into account the conditions, it was possible to restore the heat supply in the shortest possible time.

According to the President of RATM Holding Eduard Taran, the social role of business is not limited to direct investments in the implementation of specialized programs:

“Responsible companies are ready to quickly get involved in solving pressing problems in the territory of their presence, using their resources and capabilities, especially when it comes to emergency situations related to man-made factors,” comments Eduard Taran. – The high consciousness of employees, their experience and competencies allowed Sibstekl to support the municipality, developing effective interaction between the corporate sector and executive authorities in the interests of residents.
