Glass factory in Kyzylorda is planned to be launched in autumn

One of the reasons for the next postponement of the launch date was the investor's ban on the travel of specialists to Kazakhstan due to the coronavirus, according to inbusiness.kz.

Answering a question from a journalist, the akim of the Kyzylorda region said that the construction of a glass factory is very important.

“Since glass is imported into the country annually for $ 11 million (4.7 billion tenge). If this plant is launched, this investment will remain with us. The plant is very large, ”the speaker noted.

Abdykalikova explained why there is a difference between her words about 70% preparation of the plant, said at the reporting meeting, and the words of the head of Baiterek NMH Aidar Arifkhanov about 80%.

“Let me explain by numbers. There is an overall completion rate, which for the whole plant is 81.4%. There is the installation of equipment, which is 34%, there are works related to preparation, not including the infrastructure. Therefore, training in the past was rated at 70%. It was at the beginning of the year. Now more than 80% are being prepared, ”said the head of the region.

According to her, the plant is now actively preparing for launch.

“Only the stove and the bathtub remained. Now 49 specialists have arrived. For a long time we could not bring specialists, as this was due to the pandemic. These specialists received vaccines in their country. In general, the company's policy was not to travel to countries where there is a pandemic. Where is covid. These issues have now been resolved. The oven is being laid actively. I periodically go to the factory. We hope that the rest of the work will be completed within 4 months, ”the akim said.

The speaker also named the launch date of the plant - October-November 2021. A trial launch of the line is planned.

“The first products, of course, will not be sold. This is a trial product. Then there will be a full launch of the plant, ”she said.
