Turkmenistan to increase glass production capacity

In order to increase the capacity of glass production, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov today signed a Resolution on the construction of a workshop for the production of 100 tons of glass products per day in the Geoktepe etrap of Akhal velayat during an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

By order of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production, the above-mentioned object with the improvement of the adjacent territory and with the condition of laying external supply engineering systems of communication, electricity, gas, water supply and sewerage will be built by the individual enterprise "Rysgally Zakhmet", the information program "Vatan" of the Turkmen television reported.

The document prescribes to begin construction work in July 2022 and to hand over the workshop with full readiness for operation in July 2025.

The construction will be carried out as part of the expansion of the production capacity of the glass factory built in 2018 in the Ovadandepe industrial zone of the Geoktepe etrap of the Akhal velayat, which is currently the largest exporter of glass.

The plant, designed to produce one million square meters of tinted, 100,000 square meters of laminated, 300,000 square meters of tempered glass, as well as 400,000 square meters of double-glazed windows per year, was built by the Turkish company Tepe Türkmen Inşaat ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi. The construction and equipping of the enterprise with the most modern technologies cost the country more than 375 million dollars.
