In the Altai Territory at the Itkul distillery, they plan to produce liqueurs and bottling whiskey

At one of the oldest Altai enterprises, the Itkul distillery in the village of Sokolovo, they are going to start making tinctures from next year, and in six years they promise to pour real whiskey!

The new management let the press pass for the first time in a checkpoint after several years of crisis and downtime.

Itkul's formula for success is, of course, the well-known chemical formula С2Н5ОН: if there is alcohol, the plant lives. The enterprise is returning to its usual production volumes; the production of carbon dioxide, stillage, bread is restored, and, of course, where without what many consider the national drink - vodka?

So, for vodka, they expect to finish the year with a figure of 200 thousand decaliters. This is not much compared to the million dal that was poured in the "fat" times, but after all the tests it is not bad either.

And troubles hit this plant in 2019 due to the actions of the Moscow authorities. Alkoholding "Kristall-Lefortovo", which included our distillery, collected loans and went bankrupt. Everything would be fine, but the plants of the holding's subsidiaries were guaranteed for the loans. Itkulsky, for example, acted as a guarantor in Promsvyazbank for securities, where Kristall-Lefortovo borrowed more than one hundred million.

The bankruptcy commissioner of the group of companies stated that the collapse of Kristall-Lefortovo was the result of a conspiracy and was beneficial to its beneficiaries. There was also an opinion that the alcoholic giant was affiliated with another large bank, and therefore received from him deliberately bad loans.

Whether there was a withdrawal of money or not, the subsidiaries of Kristall-Lefortovo, to which creditors raided, also began to go bankrupt. Itkulsky was declared insolvent in the same 2019. The town-forming enterprise of the village of Sokolovo has stopped.

As a result, we managed to agree on the resale of the distillery. One hundred percent of shares together with debts were bought by the largest corporation "Marussia Bevereges" with factories around the world! The Altai enterprise produced premium vodka for Marussia Bevereges, so long-standing partnerships played a significant role in making this decision. The bankruptcy procedure was terminated, and still happiness, officials say, that they did not manage to “cut out” the equipment on account of the debts, which the plant workers, by the way, saved as best they could.

The collective, and whole labor dynasties work on Itkul, were saved for the most part, now it is more than three hundred people. The plans are to train new personnel, teaching rural youth at the expense of the plant.

Itkul alcohol was not on the shelves for a year and a half, positions on the market were lost, but despite this, the owners say, this year a profit is expected, albeit a small one - about a million rubles. How are they going to re-win the consumer? And all the same time-tested production traditions, the management answers.

Moreover, some of the plant's products have recently been certified and received the organic brand. This means that the grain used in the production process is environmentally friendly and does not have any traces of pesticides. According to them, the owners do not intend to "reduce the degree": they are going to make liqueurs from local herbs and berries at the Itkul distillery, and even, over time, bottle real whiskey.

This is the pearl of our corporation, we are already investing in the production of drinks such as gin and liqueurs, and we plan to develop the enterprise further. The plant fits perfectly into our group of companies, because if we acquire an asset, we want to preserve its history. And in general, we want him to have a story.
