The magazine «Glass and Ceramics» for February 2024 was published

We inform you that the 2nd issue of the monthly scientific and technical magazine “Glass and Ceramics” for 2024 has been published.

Contents of the February issue:

- STUDY OF THE CHEMICAL RESISTANCE OF OXY CHLORIDE LEAD BORATE GLASSES ACTIVATED WITH NEODYMIUM AND THE STABILITY OF THEIR LUMINESCENT PROPERTIES IN THE CLIMATIC CONDITIONS OF SOUTHEAST ASIA

The chemical resistance of glasses in the PbCl2–PbO–B2O3–NdF3 system was studied. Oxochloride lead-borate glasses have demonstrated good water resistance and alkali resistance, but low acid resistance. Volumetric glass samples were exposed to the tropical climate of Southeast Asia for a year. The spectral and luminescent characteristics of neodymium ions in these matrices maintain good stability under tropical climate conditions.
