Key topic: “Analysis of the current state and growth prospects of the glass industry until 2025. The development of consumption and production. Training issues. ”
The organizer of a large-scale event is the Association of StekloSouz of Russia.
More than 200 delegates and guests from 18 countries arrived at the congress of heads of glass enterprises.
The purpose of the scientific and practical conference: to show the current state of the glass industry and development goals for the next 6 years.
In a report, Osipov Viktor Ivanovich, president of the StekloSouz Russia, showed three main goals:
1). Guaranteed satisfaction of any customer requirements;
2). Harmonious development of consumption;
3). Social stability and industrial development of subjects.
Viktor Ivanovich in his report said: “We believe that this specialized forum is another serious step towards the harmonious development of the glass industry. Fulfillment of the set goals will make it possible to provide any inquiries of consumers of glass products. Cooperation with the global glass community is guaranteed to create the conditions for the implementation of the tasks.
Currently, there is an active development of the global glass market. A significant proportion of glass and products is exported. The geography of deliveries is growing on all continents of the globe. The development of sales indicates that domestic glass, for various sectors of the national economy of consumer countries, meets all consumer requirements and international standards.
The acquired positions must be constantly maintained, combining efforts on clear technological parameters. "Export will overcome the systemic crisis with a high probability of consolidating the position of glass enterprises in the markets of consumer countries."
He drew the attention of plant managers to the need to pay more attention to the younger generation of young people, to target the latter to enroll in specialized higher educational institutions. It is necessary to instill a love of the glass profession, starting from kindergarten and school. For this, it is necessary to organize master classes in educational institutions, and for high school students in enterprises.
Given that glass factories are mainly city-forming - this will help maintain the continuity of labor dynasties.
A systematic approach in this work will allow overcoming personnel “hunger”.
In addition, it is necessary to continue systematic training and retraining of personnel, expanding the themes of training programs.
The participants of the Forum were greeted by the chambers of the Federal Assembly, relevant ministries, departments and federal industry associations - consumers of glass and glass products.

Speakers noted that new requirements are being made to glass, scientists and practitioners are obliged to timely solve the tasks set by consumers, to satisfy increasing demands.
Delegates emphasized that for the successful implementation of the industry program 2011-2020. through joint efforts it is necessary to overcome a wide range of problematic issues: designing new plants, building modern energy-efficient glass melting furnaces, and manufacturing machinery and equipment.
Using innovative technologies, enterprises are improving their economies.
Ways to increase competitiveness lie on the surface and it is necessary to start with labor productivity. The personnel issue is the most important for our industry.
One of the important tasks is the development of the consumer market.
In the course of the discussion with the leaders of federal industry associations and unions, the enterprises received practical proposals with requirements for glass products for various sectors of the national economy.
The use of special products, heat-insulating materials, glazing of buildings and structures with energy-efficient and safe transparent structures, innovative products for transport and the medical, pharmaceutical, electronic, nuclear, instrument-making and furniture industries are the locomotives of our development, scientists, engineers and practitioners noted in the reports.
At an open meeting of the Presidium together with the Anti-Crisis Headquarters, the leaders of the Associations made concrete proposals for the development of normative and creative activities in order to increase the possibilities for using innovative glass materials.
The recommendations to the StekloSoyuz Association of Russia necessary for increasing the range and expanding the volume of consumption of glass products were unanimously adopted.
At the same time, they discussed in detail problems related to payments for glass products and guaranteed deliveries to consumers.

Following the congress, Viktor Ivanovich Osipov expressed his gratitude to all delegates and guests, wished all the enterprises of the world glass industry economic prosperity.
A general vote took a decision with instructions to the Glass Union of Russia. Currently, the decision of the delegates is finalized taking into account comments and suggestions. The document is the fundamental material for implementation in 2020.
Osipov V.I. thanked all participants of the business program for interesting reports. He said that the Association will make every effort to ensure that the glass industry enterprises adequately overcome the difficult economic situation. The joint decision made by the delegates will be implemented as part of the glass industry development program 2011-2020.
The Forum Congress ended with a gala dinner in honor of workers in the glass industry.
The next major industry event, the Glass and Modern Technologies - XXI Forum, will take place on November 19, 2020 in Moscow.
